Events! News!

And this is just the beginning of it. Look out for a Young Alumni section, as well as a place for Penn Parents to find one another.

Here are some goings on, past and present:

Glee Club comes to visit

Hurrah! The Glee Club is COMING to St. Louis in May 2008.  I know you're probably asking both us and yourself, "Where can I see them?"

Glee Club performance will be on Friday evening, May 23 at 7 p.m. at the Upstream Theater, which is located at 305 S. Skinker and also happens to be the church owned by Forsyth School.

 Tickets are:

$10 adult

$7.50 students

$5 kids under the age of 12

Help us out by buying as much ahead of time as you can. We'd love to see you!

You know we will be documenting all the white tie, tails and harmonizing in photo form as soon as it happens. Check the photos section to see the evidence!

Penn-Princeton Game at Westport Plaza

Ah yes. The Penn-Princeton game. We all went out to Westport (who knew there were so few places that would cover this earth-shattering event by having the courtesy to subscribe to ESPN-U???) and watched. It was fun to rekindle our friendly "rivalry" at a time when it's just not as important as it was back in the day when we waited in line forEVER for tickets to basketball season at the Palladium.

Ben's Birthday Celebration!

He's our favorite father figure and the REAL star of Nicholas Cage's epic "National Treasure" films, so it is only fitting that we celebrate his posthumous birthday with style and panache.  Check back soon for photographic evidence in the photos section of how we classed it up for that crazy guy who invented bifocals                                                   (and America, arguably).

Family Picnic

Who's bringing the water ice? Tastycakes? Yuengling? Pictures posted after picnic takes place this coming June 2008 in Shaw Park in County Capitol -- Clayton!

Student Send-Off

A time to reflect on how terrified you were before you went to Penn, and to take pride all the strong new acceptees who are masking that terror so well and so eloquently.  Eat cookies, share stories, meet local St. Louis Penn people - it's an entertaining combo that's hard for anyone to resist. Coming this spring/summer 2008.

Did you know... that Penn researchers for the first time are able to pinpoint brain waves that distinguish true memories from false ones? This discovery provides a better understanding of how memory works and creates a new strategy to help epilepsy patients retain cognitive function. The study is the first to show that brain waves predict the veracity of human memories.
